Camino Photo of the Day: Into a New Province

And we’re back. It’s been several weeks since my last photo post. For the reasons, I refer you to the post on my main blog where I discuss These Trying Times. And then there was that whole “election” thing in the United States. We’ll try to pick up where we left off (more or less), and I’ll try to be better about posting.

Here we see Eamon contemplating the biggest sign on the entirety of the Camino. It stands out in the middle of nowhere, in the flattening hills of the leading edge of the Meseta. It welcomes us to Castille y León, our third major region of the route through Spain. Specifically, we are entering the Province of Burgos, the first of three provinces we will walk through in this, the largest region of Spain.

Date: 10 April 2013
Place: between Grañón (La Rioja, Spain) and Redecilla del Camino (Province of Burgos, Castilla y León, Spain)
Today started: Santo Domingo de la Calzada (La Rioja, Spain)
