Camino Photo of the Day: Leaving Eunate

At about 5:30 we finally left Eunate. It’s almost 5km to Puente la Reina, our destination for the evening, which means that even at the best of times we won’t arrive before 6:30. This is not the best of times. We’re exhausted. Feet numb, I staggered through the rain and wind, practically on auto-pilot. Cliff is struggling with blisters, and Ali is having an allergic reaction to her sock liners. Charlie has borrowed one of Petra’s hiking poles. We are late enough that there’s a real possibility all of the albergues in Puente la Reina will be full. But none of us would have missed Eunate for anything.

Date: 04 April 2013
Place: Leaving Eunate and heading towards Obanos (Navarra, Spain)

Map! (which we are currently not on – we are near to the highway crossing to the left of Obanos and up from Muruzábal)
