Camino Photo of the Day: Pilgrim Mass

Every day at noon, Mass is celebrated in the Cathedral for the arriving pilgrims. Most usually, you will attend the day after you arrive due to simple logistics. Here you see the gathered pilgrims awaiting the start of the Mass in about ten minutes. On either side of the nave, you can see the the enormous pipes of the organ, and beyond that the sanctuary and high altar. Although we are seeing the main nave here, the Cathedral layout is cruciform, and the transepts are almost as large as the nave. You can fit a lot of people in there. Some day, I’ll take a photo there that isn’t blurry.
