Camino Photo of the Day: Sunset over San Xulián

This day had been a long day – about 27 kilometers, give or take, from Portomarín to San Xulián – and we were exhausted. Fortunately, the albergue was great, and the company was fantastic. I noted in my journal that it was the best food we’d eaten in Spain. April 29 is the Feast of the Holy Abbots of Cluny, four great saints who I consider to be amongst my patrons. Early this morning, following Lauds, I asked of these saints a question regarding my vocation. The Lord answered it on a slip of paper in Palas de Rei:

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven. (Matthew 5:16)

Date: 29 April 2016
Place: San Xulián (Galicia, Spain)
