Camino Photo of the Day: Three Lies

There’s no way around it. These days, the village of Villamayor is basically a truck stop on the N-120. The full name of the place is Villamajor del Río, and my guidebook notes that it is sometimes called “the place of three lies” as the “major” implies a large town, where this is a small village, and the creek it’s located near (not on) hardly qualifies as a river. The third lie is that there are only two lies. Still, there’s a hotel there that serves a darn fine meal.

Date: 10 April 2013
