GM Notes:

The group spent quite some time fighting the truly massive spider in the woods.

It was peppered with arrows, Kailan tried a frontal attack in a bid to save Nurther and Doreen, and Tørhalla with a mighty leap jumped upon its back and slammed her sword into it (dramatic but ineffectual) before leaping off onto a nearby tree.

In the process, a small brush fire was started (apparently using muffins soaked in oil and a silk-wrapped goblin corpse).

Finally, Dumbarton pulled out his magic wand and sent a fireball onto its back.

The spider was toast, and our heroes were the toast of the town until the next day, when another child was discovered missing.

Now, they’re hot on the trail of a band of kobolds and, possibly, an old witch.
