GM Notes:

At the Top of the World (Kar Elidan)

Each member of the group awoke to find him- or herself in a cozy bedroom containing a feather bed with clean white sheets, a dressing table with an oil lamp and their travelling clothes washed and pressed (and in some cases mended), and a large wooden wardrobe containing the rest of their equipment.

Sunshine streamed in through a window overlooking the mountains. The ground below (two stories down) was covered in a blanket of snow. The smell of baking bread and frying bacon wafted up from the kitchens down below.

They were, each of them, naked.

While most of the group got dressed, Kailan (followed by Dumbarton) ran naked through the large stone inn looking for Nick, his horse.

The Gnomish proprietor (“call me Bean”), who was making breakfast for the group, pointed them towards the stables, where the horse, mule, and goats were comfortable, fed, and cared for.

The group spent two additional nights at the inn at the top of the pass, waiting for the worst of the snow to melt.

They spent their time in snowball fights, reading and playing games in front of the fire, and poking around the inn trying to discover its secrets.

The Village of Has, in the Earldom of Melatar

The group finally set out for Has, arriving in the early afternoon. They arrived during the “Last Harvest Festival” and immediately set about trying to solve the mystery of the village’s missing children.

Some very large spiders in the cellar of the bakery were quickly dispatched, though the enormous spider there escaped through a tunnel to the river.

  • Ruati Ryiannasal  says:

“Oh my goodness this bed is fabulous! We absolutely have to have this level of comfort in the new Dumbarton Manor. Maybe we could hire a gnome to take care of the place? Did I mention that the bed is fabulous?”
