GM Notes:

The group returned to Red Spur Gorge. On the way, they had an unfortunate encounter with a bear, which they killed and smoked for rations. They also set off one of the Kobold food traps and captured and befriended (well, intimidated) a pair of kobolds known as Dinkie (the dumb one) and Frankie (the less dumb one).

This led, inevitably, to the development a plan involving the two kobolds dragging a Trojan bear into the gorge and carrying Dumbarton with shouts of “baby! baby!” The plan, crazy as it was, very nearly worked.

Mayhem ensued. Dozens of kobolds. Two angry bugbears.

Highlights included Dumbarton incinerating a plethora of kobolds with a curving wall of fire, Kailan dispatching a bugbear with a single blow to the head from behind, Tørhalla falling into a pit trap, Doreen’s inerrant archery, a great sign from Benyar followed by the sudden appearance of Tibideaux in mid-combat, kobold archers raining down arrows, and a post-combat tussle with giant eagles.

Once Fenkeh posts his notes, you’ll have a blow-by-blow.

Although at several points it looked grim for our heros, the only death recorded was that of Frankie the kobold.

After the party killed the Elm King in combat, some of the kidnapped children were discovered alive, and evidence was found of the others meeting a grisly end.

The party, wounded and flagging, returned to Has to a hero’s welcome.
